Kenyan mother ends her 20-year marriage with her husband to marry the Holy Spirit

Elizabeth Nalem, a Kenyan woman, surprised her countrymen last week when she ended her 20-year marriage to marry the Holy Spirit.

On Tuesday, May 25, the mother of six from Makutano town in West Pokot County married Holy Spirit in a luxurious ceremony at the Chelang’a Gardens that drew a large crowd.

After she left their matrimonial house to commit her life to the church, her husband, Joshua Nalem was said to be stucked in a quagmire, unsure of what to do next.

“I made the decision to preside over, plan and fund the wedding because the world might just be coming to an end and because I’m her neighbour.” – according to Rumaita.

Following the wedding, overjoyed Elizabeth declared that she had had enough of serving the world and had decided to devote her life to serving God. She also revealed that she had shut down her shop.

She said; “Today, I am one of those who have received the word of God. I have faced difficulties, and it made me look for God.

“God has shown me signs to travel to the United States when am done with Uganda. He told me to travel the world but I told him I won’t be able and requested him to recruit other members to help me in spreading the gospel.”

Joshua, however, revealed that he had given Elizabeth 22 cattle and 15 goats for her hand in marriage. He claims that their firstborn recently completed Form Four.

When media questioned if he plans to stay with his estranged wife, Joshua said he was kept in the dark throughout the process. Joshua continued that he does not know what to do next, despite the fact that he still loves Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Nalem has announced that she will spend her honeymoon in Uganda after startling the country by quitting her family in West Pokot to marry the Holy Spirit.
