A young girl who was born with a physical impairment has come up about how she copes and survives in a world where she can’t walk.
The 9-year-old Agnes Mba, said that she crawls to school every day, covering a distance of one kilometer.
The small girl, who lives in Ghana, told BBC News Pidgin that she has never been able to walk in her life and that she hopes to be able to do so soon.
Her mother admitted that she used to carry Agnes to school but that she no longer does. So, one faithful day, the girl grabbed the bull by the horns and dressed in her school uniform with the goal of crawling to school.
Agnes actually crawled all the way to school, which shocked the town.
Agnes’ mother, who’s a farmer, blamed her financial restraints as the reason why they haven’t pressed for treatment for her daughter, as the girl’s ailment can be remedied by surgery.
